Metamorphose Osaka

The Metamorphose Osaka store is hidden away really well. To find it you have to pass an alley past a few other shops and then take a small stair down. But searching for this store is well worth it.
Upon entering the shop I was greeted very friendly by two shop girls, of whom one was really energetic. I was looking around the shop when I noticed the Princess Wardrobe Pinafore JSK Set. The energetic shop girl quickly came to explain the different sets (mostly in Japanese so I just smiled at her most of the times).  She showed me the different cuts and colors, and when I tried to ask if it would fit my size she happily noted that I was allowed to try it on (I did not know you could try special sets on). I had picked out the ivory pinafore set, and everything fitted great, so I bought it. As I was used to by now the shop staff escorted me to the store exit with my purchase.

Castlefest 2014

This past saturday I once again went to Castlefest (an annual 3 day event in Holland which has a medieval/fantasy theme), but this time I was really, really last minute about it. Without the time to finish a costume I chose for an Elsa inspired lolita outfit that I was already planning on doing sometime.

Outfit rundown; dress: Metamorphose, layer: BTSSB, crinoline: 4 O'Clock, rest offbrand

As I had to travel for about 2 hours to get to Keukenhof I got up pretty early to have plenty of time to finish my make-up (I'm always struggling with make-up, and this time I wanted to get the Elsa look). I used my own hair for the outfit and added little snowflakes, it was quite basic compared to my normal event costumes, but as a lolita outfit I really loved the final outcome.

Once I arrived at the venue there was a huge line for tickets (huge as in Disney huge :o), luckily Cat and Stefan were already inside with a ticket for me, allowing me to skip the queue.
Stefan was waiting with my ticket at the gate, and we soon met up with Cat and her mom. Cat was wearing an awesome dress from Haenuli with deers and bunnies.
It was great to once again taste the wonderful atmosphere these kind of events have. We walked around looking at the merchandise on sale, ate hemp bread, and just sat down looking at other people. There were notably less costumes in general and most of the costumes were also less impressive than previous years, but that was to be expected with the extreme heat we are experiencing currently (extreme heat in Holland is anywhere above 25 degrees C ;) ).
Time flew by and at about 19:30 I said goodbye and started my long journey back home.

Dream Items

Today I'm going to talk about my dream items. I actually keep 2 lists, one list with wishlist items (items i'd like to have but aren't on top of my list) and a list with dream items (items that I would kill for).
There are currently 7 items on that list (they are in random order);

1. AatP: Elizabeth's Over Robe Op - I was lucky enough to be able to buy this from BtSSB Paris
   
2. AatP: Poison de Lámour Juliette JSK
   
3. AatP: Disney x Alice & the Pirates JSK (if I had to pick one as my most wanted dress, this would be it)
   
4. BtSSB: La Robe de la Reine pour Midori
   
5. This dress from 4 O'Clock that I don't know the name of :o
   
6. Metamorphose: I own the matching set and am missing this bag, I only saw it being sold once, but it was for the black version.
   
7. AatP: Elizabeth Bride of Death JSK I in either ivory or black, I previously owned the red high waisted skirt, but I sold it as I didn't like the color and the fit.
   

Old School Meet

On 22-06-2014 Josine and I organized the old school meeting. We both love old school clothes, and we are regularly discussing old school finds. We felt there was a lack of opportunities to wear our old school clothes, thus the meet was born.
Slowly time passed by, until 22-06 and to our great surprise we had gathered a group of 14 lolitas who wanted to join the meet.
We agreed to meet at Utrecht Central station at the Bruna (a bookshop). Everyone arrived at the assigned time, except Pichi Pie, who was accidentally standing at the wrong Bruna, we felt so guilty because we had no idea there was a second one on the station.
After we had the whole group together we walked to King Arthur, a restaurant located near the canals, were we had a nice group lunch.
Once everyone finished their lunch we went on our way to the Oude Hortus, which are the old university gardens that are still being taken care of. We took a lot of photo's here, and I made a short movie in which you can see everyones outfits and just in general how much fun we had.
